SIPHON:SYS:APPARATUS // electro-acoustic tube development
Prototype project presented at:
- Device Art @ Club K4, Prague
- So.und.ing event @ Kino Šiška, Ljubljana
- Installation @ Sonica 2011, Ljubljana
- Exhibition @ Ex-Garage, Maribor
- Premiere at Zero Gallery/Transmediale, Berlin
Imagine the space where flush systems enter sonic turbulence and open a hybrid valve allowing portable sound objects to flow into the schizophrenic bowl, containing a sonic mechanism that closes apparatus and opens high frequency piping system for a very brief period of time.

exhibition & performance @ ZERO Gallery, Berlin
For the exhibition „Hybrid Frequencies“ Gallery ZERO invited Marko Batista, Ljubljana based tech-mixed-media artist, sound researcher and performer. Marko Batista’s project „SIPHON:SYS:APPARATUS 1.1“ is a reasearch into the phenomenology of sonic structures by using a siphon as an instrument of sonic perception. Technology driven mixed media installation features parallel non-linear sound compositions based on several electronic elements, trapped in the circuits of siphon system apparatus associated with unconventional sonic results.

Marko Batista continues his research into the phenomenology of sonic structures, using the siphon as a vehicle and networked abstraction as an instrument of sonic perception or tool of comprehension. The exhibition installation features parallel non-linear sound compositions based on several electronic elements trapped in the circuits of siphon system apparatus associated with unconventional sonic results. Technology driven mixed media installation focuses on audio experiments that through the subversion of simultaneous sonic data transfers and heterogeneous piping environments enter the field of artistic intervention.
